Horseback Riding

No Head to Tail Rides Here!

Our signature pre-ride routine with hands on coaching is what sets this experience apart for our guests from the get-go. With our help, you get to brush and saddle your horse followed by learning to handle the reins and how to communicate to your horse before getting on. This rich segment of your ride takes an hour or a little more. We will saddle in advance for children and anyone who prefers not to saddle.

Riding the range over one of the most beautiful western landscapes to be found on a well matched and well-trained ranch horse is kind of a big deal! Add cattle work to the mix and it gets you right into living that cowboy or cowgirl dream. Horseback riding is the centerpiece of action and adventure at this working ranch. Practice trotting or loping through the meadows with coaching from your guide along the way on our semi-private (no more than 8 riders at a time) rides. With age appropriate rides available for children as young as four and for anyone else who can climb up and swing a leg over, you are sure to have the time of your life!

Due to the physical excursion of our rides, we do have weight limits. 
Your Body Mass Index (BMI) must be lower than 30 
With a MAXIMUM weight of 265lbs
We reserve the right to turn guests away for the safety of themselves and the safety of our horses.

"This was by far the best horseback riding experience of my life. We took our four children 14-23 and they all learned a lot and loved it. Beautiful views and beautiful people. The owner was our lead and she is very skilled and a great teacher. Our experience started with brushing the horses before saddling them ourselves with instructions and ended with putting the saddle away. We were taught to handle the horses which allowed us to vary our path and speed a bit during the ride. Can't wait to visit again."

"Madeline is a patient teacher who clearly explained how to properly handle, brush and saddle our horses. She gave us thorough instructions on how to ride and direct our horses when to stop and when to go. The ride through the open meadow was amazing with the mountains as our back drop. We could ride at the pace we felt most comfortable. We enjoyed an amazing lunch that Madeline prepared for us on a campfire. Kudos to the chef back at the ranch. Her barbecue sauce was yummy! Madeline has such a love of horses and easily passed that on to us. This is the best horse riding experience we have ever had!! I can not wait to go back."
